From its humble beginning in 1916, Grossman’s Seafood has always had a vision. Today that vision has become our motto, “Always The Freshest Seafood Available.” Almost a century ago, Otto Grossman realized his dream of a small seafood market and raw bar in West Mystic, CT. The close proximity to the North Atlantic and Long Island Sound made it a natural fit for the sea-minded communities of Southeastern Connecticut.

Grossman’s Seafood has only changed hands twice during its long history. Current owner Peter Danesi III has been in the seafood business for over 30 years. Mr. Danesi’s experience and knowledge of the seafood industry has allowed continued growth with a convenient second location in Groton, CT. near large employers General Dynamics, Pfizer and the U.S. Submarine Base.

In Groton we have a large retail store, open 7 days a week, as well as an ultra modern wholesale division providing service and product to any commercial account. You will also find our corporate offices at the new Groton location.

You could live on the “left” coast (as we easterners call it), the Rocky Mountains, the Midwest plains, the Gulf Coast, the Ohio Valley, the Mid-Atlantic or right here in beautiful New England. Because we ship to the 48 contiguous states, all of us at Grossman’s Seafood want you to enjoy the fruits of the ocean just like we do.
